Yesterday, Wednesday, a lot of things happened. Team Beta moved a ton of dirt, we went down almost 20 cm in some spots! We have almost fully uncovered the pillar in the middle of our square, and we found a marble plate sort of thing with a painting on it. It was broken, but looked like it had been like that for long time. We also uncovered more wall and found a small metallic pot.
In addition, on Tuesday, i forgot to say that the glass was accompanied by some sort of textile, but we are not sure what material it is.

On Tuesday, I personally uncovered a glass cup or bowl of some sort, but not without breaking off a small piece unfortunately. At the end of the day, no one was finished leveling and to extricate the glass, we had to dig a hole, because of the breakable nature of glass. Mr. Thames just let us come and level the next day

On Monday we finally got to clean the marble plate that we found, along with a few rocks and bricks. We were also going to glue the plate back together but there was no super glue in Mr. Thames' room and there was none in the office either, so that was delayed until next Monday. We also picked what items we were going to do research on, and I picked the marble juglet that we found a week or so before we found the plate.

So on Friday, Chris Miller was not there so not as much dirt was moved, yet we still made some of the best discoveries yet. The team uncovered more of the wall in the corner of our square and traced it to a little further down (my doing). We also discovered that the item we believed to be a brick was actually what seems to be the base of a statue or a column, we are not sure which. For the bad news, the plate that we extricated on Wednesday was found to be broken and in the future, we should probably be more careful with out M.C.

Today was the first long period I've had in a while. Team Beta made quite a bit of progress today. we uncovered what looks like a brick from something and we finally extricated a plate that has been sitting there forever. We probably dug down around 10 centimeters and our square is almost level. All the other squares are looking good as well.

this would be the first entry on my new fangled blog thingy . im travis, hi. we started doing ths doing an archeology project at school like 3 weeks ago, or something like that. my group, beta, consists of derek, jared, chris and I. chris is the first square leader but we all will get a turn. our square is B4 on the grid, and we already have a wall partially exposed, expect more in the future.
score!
we found the corner of a wall! we had already found the wall, but today we found a brick that we believe to be the other side of the wall, and because we already have 3 sides of a wall exposed, we think we have a full room
yeah...
we dug up a marble juglet a few days ago, cool word, and today we discovered a marble plate of the same color, in around the same spot. we could be digging in a kitchen or a dining room
